Reflections

I know you are a busy, and you don’t have a lot of time to sit back and reflect on political events, so let me summarize a point.

When Donald Trump announced that he was running for President, I laughed and said, “who’s next, Michael Bloomberg?”. I remembered Ross Perot wasted millions of his own dollars on a failed run-at-the-office, I assumed Trump would suffer the same fate.

When Trump announced, he was going to put America first, he got my attention. When said, he would drain the Washington swamp, I applauded, then thought, “You just made a lot of enemies”.

When he said he didn’t want to waste time playing “Washington games”, the swamp creatures vowed to stop him. They cannot exist without the games; it’s their life blood. They thrive on gossip, intrigue, social climbing, and back-stabbing.

Fast forward, President Trump’s instincts on issues and policies were right on. As a man of action, he looked at what America needed, and then he delivered it.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to drain the swamp. It is much deeper than he first thought. There are thousands of creatures buried in the muck and its going to take a public outcry and your votes to dislodge and displace them.
