How a united America can be stronger in trade, business, and relationships with other countries.
Trade is very important because it: Brings money into a country, creates jobs, helps people get goods they need, and builds relationships with other nations. Countries that are good at trade tend to become stronger and richer.
If each state acts like its own country: Foreign nations can play them against each other, states might compete instead of cooperating, some states would get better trade deals than others, and America as a whole would lose power in world trade. Instead of helping each other, they could become rivals.
If Foreign nations see a divided America, they might: Take advantage of weaker states, offer unfair trade deals, control important market, and gain more influence over American regions. A divided America will have less power in negotiations.
One united country will: Speak with one voice in trade deals, negotiate better agreements, protect all states equally, and prevent unfair competition between states. Instead of 13 weak negotiators, there will be one strong negotiator representing everyone.
Working together creates strength. When states are united they: Help each other succeed, don’t compete against each other, have more power in the world, and protect their shared interests. Unity makes the whole country stronger than the parts alone.
