Uncle Sam,
I get pissed when you and your liberal friends, try to make me feel guilty for America’s past involvement in the Black slave trade, simply because I’m a White American.
Let’s discuss the issues, and not how some people may feel about the issues.
The first issue is, “am I personally responsible for slavery in America’s past?”
Christians can turn to their Bible for the answer. Ezekiel 18:20 “The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son.“
Those who are not Christians should note, it is physically impossible for one to be personally responsible for acts committed before one was born.
If I am not personally responsible for past slavery, then I must be guilty by association. The link being the color of my skin.
The second issue, “Black Africans captured and sold other Black Africans to both Black and White slave traders. Therefore, the Reverend Al Sharpton is personally responsible for America’s involvement in the Black slave trade?”
It is physically impossible for Reverend Sharpton to personally enslave his own ancestors.
If Reverend Sharpton is not personally responsible for past slavery in this country, then he must be guilty by association. The link being the color of his skin.
Both Reverend Sharpton and I are protected by the United States Constitution which explicitly prohibits prosecution based solely on a “corruption of blood” argument. US courts have adopted it as a general principle.
Uncle Sam, as you can see from simply looking at the issues, you’re being deceived by hucksters who promote their own personal gain by using racism to control your emotions.
