For decades, we have “looked-the-other-way” while elected officials enriched themselves at our expense.
They used taxpayer money to buy votes. They bought millions of votes by continually increasing the size of government and by awarding questionable government contracts. They bought large blocks of votes by funding Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Our Congressional delegations have thoughtlessly saddled us with so much national debt we won’t live long enough to pay it off. Our children and grandchildren will be held responsible for its repayment.
Professional Politicians have had two and a half centuries to learn how to “game” our democratic system. They have built political dynasties, skirted our constitutional safeguards, like limiting governance control to the elite members of two political parties, controlling major news networks, restricting ballot: policies, districts, and candidates.
The time has come to take the “career” out of career politicians and replace them with good people who will do their civil duty to represent us to the best of their ability then return to private life.
