United for peace and safety

A single national government will help keep peace by settling disagreements between states fairly, making one set of rules for things that affect everyone, preventing states from acting like rivals or enemies, reducing the chance of conflict over land, trade, or resources. Instead of each state trying to look out only for itself, a national government would look at what is best for all the states together.

Leaders chosen from across the entire country should have leadership experience, they should think carefully before making decisions and be less likely to act out of anger or selfish interests. They will have to consider many different viewpoints before making decisions.

The most important reasons for the adopting the Constitution is to keep peace between Americans. States united, are less likely to fight each other. Conflict can be solved with discussion and laws. Peace between the states is just as important as protection from foreign enemies.
