Chaos can grow, and the country can slowly fall apart
If a government cannot enforce its laws: People stop following rules, states ignore agreements, conflicts are not solved fairly, and problems keep getting worse. Even good laws are useless if nobody follows them.
When a government is weak: Different states act on their own, there is no clear authority, disagreements become harder to settle, and trust between states breaks down. This can lead to confusion and instability.
Some people believe the states could simply cooperate without a strong government, but people and states often act in their own interests, agreements are sometimes ignored, and without strong enforcement, rules don’t last. Simply relying only on cooperation is not safe for a country. A country needs: Clear laws that apply to everyone, a government strong enough to enforce those laws, and a system that can solve disputes fairly. Without this, the nation cannot stay united or stable.
If laws are not enforced: States may argue more often, conflicts can grow over time, and disputes might become serious problems. A strong government helps prevent these issues before they get worse.
